Why this exists
Most brands are not badly made. They are scattered.
A website from one person. Profiles set up years ago by somebody who has left. Social accounts with an older logo. Reviews nobody answers. Each piece was fine when it was made.
Together they say something nobody intended — and no single person is responsible for the whole of it, which is exactly why it drifts. Steady Climb is one party responsible for all of it, reporting monthly on what changed.
How we work
Built, not assembled.
We build the sites ourselves
Rather than assembling them from page builders and bought themes. It is why this site loads the way it does — one hand-written stylesheet, no builder, no framework.
We say what we have not done
Technical work is either done properly or reported as outstanding. "In progress" covering "not started" is how clients end up surprised a quarter later.
The report includes the failures
When something we tried did not work, that goes in too. A report containing only good news is not information, it is marketing pointed at the person paying for it.
The standard
Three things we will not do.
Each is either against the rules of the platform it touches or impossible to honor. All three are common in this industry, which is precisely why they are written down.
- Buy links. Against the rules of every search engine that matters, and the penalty costs more than the links were ever worth.
- Solicit or purchase reviews. Prohibited by the platforms that carry them. Reviews are earned from real customers or they are worthless.
- Promise rankings or traffic. Nobody controls either. What we promise is the work, done properly, reported honestly.
